  • Choosing stream for higher study after SEE is always challenging for students. Several questions will arise in their minds. What to choose?  Which is the best? What are the future prospects? What are the career options? There are different streams available in Nepal and each stream has its own benefits and challenges. Choosing right stream after SEE is like sketching a roadmap of future. The right decision will make the future secure and bright whereas choosing wrong stream will often result in regret and loss of time, effort and resources. As, this decision has lasting effects in one’s life, students should be extra cautious while making the right decision.  Some of the popular education streams in Nepal are:
  • Science: Science stream encompasses in-depth knowledge on the physical, chemical, and biological aspects of the universe.  The courses have both scientific theories and practical methods. Subjects like chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics etc. are incorporated in the program. The students who want to study Science must secure minimum aggregate GPA 2.8 in SEE. It is a demanding stream, so student should give more time and focus on their study. Science is best for those students who want to pursue their higher studies in medicine, engineering, forestry, agriculture etc.
  • Management: Management is a popular stream among many students after SEE. Management stream offers courses in Economics, Accountancy, Marketing, Business Studies, Hotel Management etc. For those students who want to study Management should secure minimum aggregate GPA 2.4 in SEE. Management is all about theories and mathematics related to management, finance and business field. This stream is appropriate for the students who want to become accountant, entrepreneur, banker etc.
  • Humanities: Humanities deals with the courses that is related to human society and culture like language, literature, philosophy, history, archaeology, anthropology, human geography, religion, and mass communication/journalism, population studies, sociology and many more. The students must score a minimum aggregate GPA 2.2 in SEE. Depending on the courses, it comprises of both theoretical and practical study. Humanities is ideal for the students who want to have career in social work, journalism, literature and many more.
  • Education: Education stream is perfect for those students who want teaching as their career. In this stream they will study all the theories, practices and processes of teaching learning. The students will also read all the major subjects taught in school level like- social studies, math, health and education, computer, population, history & geography and many more. For the enrollment in Education stream, students should get minimum 2.2 GPA in SEE.
  • All streams and subjects have their own benefits.
