Kathmandu BernHardt School & College proudly organized the Welcome Program 2082, a grand event held to honor and warmly welcome the newly admitted students of Grade XI. The event was gracefully managed by Grade XII students and was a perfect combination of formal dignity and informal entertainment, making it a truly memorable occasion for the entire BernHardt family.
The formal session began with soft background music, setting a calm and respectful tone as students, faculty, and guests assembled in the hall. The program was beautifully anchored by Ms. Shruti Bhandari and Ms. Aastha Gyawali, who welcomed the gathering and introduced the significance of the occasion.
The session was chaired by Head Boy, Mr. Binayak Poudel, and attended by the distinguished members of the BernHardt family, including:

Lighting of the Panas (Lamp): A traditional moment of wisdom and knowledge, led by the Chairman, Directors, Principal, Head Boy, Head Girl, and faculty.
National Anthem: Performed with full respect, uniting everyone in patriotic spirit.
Welcome Speech: Delivered by Head Girl Miss Prasiddika Thapa Magar, offering warmth and encouragement to the new batch.
Welcome Dance (Kumari Dance): Performed by Class XII students, symbolizing purity and tradition.
Principal’s Address: Mr. Purushottam Bista inspired the students to aim for excellence and embrace the BernHardt spirit.
A key highlight of the formal program was the official announcement of new student clubs by Vice Principal Mr. Shiva Ram Rijal to encourage growth, leadership, and creativity:

The formal session also featured the launch of the “60 Sec – KBC Welcome Program Video Competition”, offering students the chance to showcase creativity through short, self-edited videos.

This exciting competition highlights BernHardt’s encouragement of digital creativity and storytelling.
After the dignified formal session, the hall came alive with music, dance, and vibrant performances during the informal segment. This segment was hosted by Aashika Kunwar & Shubha KC, Prabhat Dhoj Tulachan & Samiskhya Thapa, Puja Bhandari & Smit Thapa, Rejina K.C & Asmita Chhetri, Nisha Parajuli & Aayusha Bista, and Samriddhi & Sama Shrestha.
Cultural Songs & Dances: Folk songs such as Goukhe Khukuri, Chine Jo Jindagani, Dubo Phulyo, Kale Dai, and Chameli beautifully captured Nepali traditions.
Diverse Dance Forms: Dholidha, Ghoomar, Ghagar, Limbu Dance, Sakela Dance, Newari Dance, and energetic modern dances showcased variety and talent.
Musical Brilliance: Bands, orchestras, and fillers entertained the crowd with live performances.
Creative Acts: Ramp walks, couple dances (Ishq Wala Love, Mahi Ve, Kala Chasma), and lighthearted Lazy Dances added entertainment and fun.
Grand Finale: Group dances and band performances brought the audience to their feet with applause.
The informal program reflected BernHardt’s culture of balancing heritage with modern creativity, allowing students to express themselves freely while celebrating togetherness.
The Welcome Program 2082 was more than just an event—it was a celebration of unity, teamwork, and BernHardt pride. Grade XII students poured immense effort into ensuring their juniors felt at home, while the ECA Department skillfully coordinated the event.
By combining cultural performances, modern creativity, and academic values, the program showcased BernHardt’s commitment to holistic education – where students grow as leaders, achievers, and proud BernHardtians.
As the day concluded, the joy, enthusiasm, and pride seen across the hall symbolized the vibrant spirit of Kathmandu BernHardt School & College. The Welcome Program 2082 will remain a cherished memory, marking the beginning of another chapter of growth and excellence.
